Spanish side Deportivo Alaves are interested in acquiring the services of  Abdul Majeed Waris from FC Porto, Ghanaguardian.com can confirm.

Alaves want the striker as replacement for Patrick Twumasi, who left for Turkish side Gazientep.

The two clubs are currently in talks over a season-long loan deal with an option to purchase.

A source close to the player revealed negotiations are advancing steadily with both parties optimistic of a deal in the coming days.

Waris returned to Porto after a successful loan stint in France with Nantes, where he scored five times in 31 games.
