Black Galaxies head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has expressed his focus on preparing the team for the return leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Nigeria.
Following a goalless draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 22, Dramani remains optimistic about Ghana's chances as they gear up for the crucial second leg scheduled for December 28 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Dramani highlighted the positives from the first leg, emphasizing the exposure the players gained from the encounter.
“When we don’t qualify, there is still positive. What is positive about this is that these boys have been exposed to a certain level of our Ghanaian league, and this is the page we want to print out — expressing our domestic competition structure to the rest of Africa and the world,” the former Black Stars assistant coach stated.
Dramani reiterated the team's focus on preparation, saying, “We are not even thinking about the result yet; we are just focused on how to prepare, get to Nigeria, and deliver on the pitch.”
Ghana aims to qualify for CHAN 2024, which will be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, and secure victory over Nigeria for the second consecutive time in the competition.
