A Dodge Journey salon car with trade plate number DV 9496 X was completely destroyed after it caught fire at Shiashie early Friday morning, December 12, 2025.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) received the distress call at 8:17 a.m., prompting a rapid response team from the Legon Fire Station led by ADO I Adjei.

Despite navigating heavy traffic, firefighters arrived at the scene at 8:33 a.m. and battled the flames, eventually bringing the fire under control at 8:47 a.m.

No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was burnt beyond recovery.

The GNFS has since advised motorists to keep functional portable fire extinguishers in their vehicles, stressing that early intervention can significantly reduce damage and prevent total losses during such emergencies.
