The Students Representatives Council (SRC) of the Dominion University College has held a Handover Ceremony to usher in new executives to steer the affairs of the institution for another 1 year.

The new SRC President is Bright Otchere Benjamin, who takes over from Frank Ahobah. Together with the other executives, they pledged to give in their best to transform the institution.

It was a fervent occasion as the outgoing executives handed over their symbols of authority to the new leaders.

Held at the GCB auditorium at East Legon in the capital, Accra, the ceremony was witnessed by the entire student body and other invited guest from the University.

Certificates were presented to some personalities for their dedicated services on the various committees.

Simultaneously, the 2020 SRC Eminence Awards was held where the winners of the various nominees received plaques and citations.

In his farewell address, the outgoing President, Frank Ahobah wished the newly elected executives well in the next academic year.

Mr. Ahobah recounted some of his achievements as SRC President over the past academic year. They include free digital marketing class for students, free computer classes for students which led to 300% increase in admission, Akwaaba fun trip, breast cancer programs, launching of the Student Entrepreneurship Club, leading the school to become the best theological school amongst private universities in Ghana, creation of scholarship opportunities for students and free distribution of SIM cards with free data and call credits.

The rest are implemented of the first time tertiary drive program, creation of student developer club through Shadrack Innusah an SRC executive, career fairs and conferences (both national and international), creation of the International Student Association and free TIN registration, SSNIT Cards, passports among others.
