Majority Chief Whip, Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh has warned the President, Nana Akufo-Addo over the possible appointment of Lands and Natural Resources Minister,  Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh and Bono Regional Minister, Evelyn Kumi Richardson in his next government.

Speaking on ‘Ka W’adwen’ on Sunyani-based Nimde3 FM, the Sunyani East MP said he will organise MPs to vote against the appointment of the two after they appear before the Vetting Committee.

“These people, I don’t think President Akufo-Addo will make a mistake and appoint them again . . . if he makes the mistake, I give him my word, I will oppose it and I will get the support in Parliament to oppose it and defeat it,” he said.

The MP who has not been in the best terms with the Bono Regional Minister said the abysmal performance of the two negatively affected the chances of the NPP in the Bono Region.

The NPP won six out of the 12 seats in the region but Kwasi Ameyaw Kyeremeh believes the party could have performed better in the region if the two had offered the best of leadership to region.
