A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, Abraham Amaliba has sent a stern warning to the embattled President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi to stay clear former President John Mahama and the NDC.

His statements comes after news went rife Monday on a possible investigation on Former President Mahama over an alleged inducement fee of $8 million paid to him by investor friends of Mr. Nyantakyi.

It was reported that Mr. Nyantakyi told the Police in his statement that his investor friends from the United Arab Emirates led by a man known as Sheick paid an inducement fee of $8million to ex President John Mahama and the NDC party ahead of the crucial 2016 general elections.

Debunking the claims, Abraham Amaliba indicated that the relationship between the GFA boss and the NDC is sour, adding that Mr. Nyantakyi's attempt to drag the NDC in is trouble will fail.

Speaking on Accra based Happy FM, Mr. Amaliba stated; “Kwesi Nyantakyi is looking for a twin in the NDC. The relationship between Kwesi Nyantakyi and NDC is very bad. It is not true that Kwesi Nyantakyi together or through the investors gave money to the NDC,”

“I see it as a diversionary tactic by the NPP. We should take this case away from the Police and give it to CHRAJ. Nyantakyi and the NPP are going about looking for equalizer. Nyantakyi wants to share the blame with the NDC. This is friendly fire because we know this matter won’t go anyway, nothing will happen to Nyantakyi.”

“Look at the Koku Anyidoho’s case when he was arrested, he spent two days at the CID headquarters but Kwesi Nyantakyi was released that very day he was invited likewise Hajia Fati and some of the Delta Forces members.”

The investigative piece by ace undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, dubbed 'Number 12' which focuses on the corruption in the football sector in Ghana is set to premiere tomorrow, June 6 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
