Didi Dramani says Accra Hearts of Oak SC are bracing for a difficult encounter against Berekum Chelsea FC as they look to build on their momentum in the Ghana Premier League.

Fresh from a historic 1-0 victory over rivals Asante Kotoko SC in Kumasi, Hearts return to action on Sunday with renewed belief, but their head coach has warned against complacency.

‎“Against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, the match will be competitive,” Dramani said. “Their position on the league table makes it dicey, and we are fully aware of the threat they pose.”

‎Hearts currently sit third in the standings on 39 points, five behind leaders Medeama SC, who top the table with 44. With the title race tightening, every fixture carries added weight.

‎The win over Kotoko not only boosted morale but also signalled Hearts’ intent in the closing stages of the season. Yet Dramani insists the focus has quickly shifted to the next challenge.

‎“Games like these require concentration and discipline,” he added. “We must stay grounded and continue to work hard.”

‎Berekum Chelsea, fighting to improve their position on the table, are expected to present a stern test, particularly with Hearts carrying the pressure of keeping pace with Medeama at the summit.

‎For the Phobians, Sunday’s fixture is more than just another league game, it is an opportunity to turn a famous derby victory into sustained momentum in the race for the title.
