Dreams FC head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed pride and excitement after the club received four prestigious nominations for the upcoming 2024 CAF Awards.

The Ghanaian club, celebrated for its remarkable debut in the CAF Confederation Cup, is up for the CAF Interclub of the Year award.

Former captain John Antwi and rising star Abdul Aziz Issah were both nominated for CAF Interclub Player of the Year, recognizing their standout performances.

Additionally, Issah received a nomination for Young Player of the Year, where he will compete among some of Africa’s most promising talents.

Reflecting on the achievement, Zito shared his enthusiasm for the club's journey:

"I felt very, very, very excited because when you look at the club and what we have achieved within these 15 years, I think it is something to talk about.

To me, a nomination is even good. Even if you don't win, being nominated out of the whole lot in Africa is fantastic. I'm very happy for the club and the players.”

Dreams FC’s nomination for Club of the Year comes after their impressive run to the semi-finals in their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The CAF Awards ceremony will take place this December in Morocco, where Dreams FC hopes to bring home the honors.
