Dreams FC claimed their long-awaited first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Medeama SC on Saturday, thanks to a second-half penalty converted by Joseph Esso.

Despite the win, Dreams remain in the bottom three, positioned 17th in the league table with eight points. Meanwhile, Medeama, despite their promising start to the season, stay in 5th place with 15 points.

Dreams FC came out with high energy and determination, dominating the early exchanges but struggled to find a breakthrough in an evenly contested first half.

Medeama displayed solid defensive discipline and maintained decent spells of possession but failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

The match was decided when Dreams were awarded a penalty, and Joseph Esso stepped up to convert confidently, breaking the deadlock and ultimately securing the crucial three points for his side.

The victory provides much-needed relief for coach Abdul Karim Zito as Dreams FC taste Premier League victory for the first time this season.

Medeama, on the other hand, face mounting pressure as they look to recover from back-to-back defeats.
