Scottish Premiership side Dundee United have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyei from Israeli top-flight club FC Ashdod, adding youthful energy to their squad ahead of the next phase of the season.
The 21-year-old joins the Tannadice outfit after rising steadily through the ranks in Ghana, having previously featured for Dreams FC and Young Apostles before earning his move abroad. His arrival marks another step in his growing career and underlines Dundee United’s intent to invest in young, emerging talent.
Agyei is expected to link up with fellow Ghanaian Isaac Pappoe at the club, giving United a familiar West African connection in midfield. The duo’s shared background could ease Agyei’s transition into Scottish football, known for its physicality and high tempo.
Though still early in his European journey, Agyei has been noted for his work rate, composure on the ball and ability to drive play from midfield, qualities Dundee United will hope translate quickly to the Premiership.
For Agyei, the move represents a fresh challenge and another opportunity to showcase his talent on a new stage, as he looks to make his mark in Scotland and continue flying the Ghana flag abroad.
