Late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns deserves to win Artiste of the year in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) says Ghanaian rapper E.L.

According to the 2016 VGMA artiste of the year, the late Ebony Reigns has been the most active musician in Ghana in the year under review hence his decision to choose her for the top award.

Speaking on TV3’s ‘New Day’, E.L added that the 'Maame Hwe' hitmaker provided Ghanaians with the most entertainment in the year under review.

Asked who would win the coveted award, E.L opined: “To me personally its Ebony,”

“In the year under review she caused us the most shock, the most awe and the most entertainment…For me E.L, it’s Ebony.” he said.

The funeral for late, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known by the stage name Ebony was held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, where friends and family gathered to bid farewell to the deceased.

She died after she was involved in a gory accident on the Kumasi–Sunyani road on February 8, 2018 when she was returning to Accra from Sunyani.

Her friend, Franky Kuri, and a Military Man, Atsu Vondee, who is said to be her bodyguard on board a Jeep from Sunyani also died in the head-on collision with a VIP bus heading towards Sunyani from Kumasi.
