A letter signed by Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to the President, dated June 6, 2018, has said Mr Edward Osei should act as Director-General of GPHA until a substantive person is appointed.

Earlier, it was speculated that one Mr Michael Luguje, the Executive Secretary of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa has been given the nod to fully take over the management of GPHA following the termination of the appointment of Mr Paul Asare Ansah.

Mr Ansah on Wednesday handed over the management of the Authority to the Director of Tema Port, Edward Osei after a meeting with senior managers and Heads of other affiliate Business Units of GPHA such as the International Maritime Hospital and Tema Shipyard and Drydock.
