The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Effutu Constituency Vice Chairman, Abraham Ato Addo, has been reported missing.

His whereabouts have remained unknown since Saturday, December 7, 2024, despite several efforts to locate him.

Reports indicate that the politician, along with other party officials, was monitoring the general elections within the Winneba township when they were accosted and physically attacked by some unidentified hoodlums.

The Vice Chairman, who sustained injuries, was rushed to the hospital for medical care. The other victims, who suffered machete wounds, were treated and discharged.

According to TV3's Central Regional Correspondent, Akwasi Addo, information suggests that while the Vice Chairman was receiving medical attention at the hospital, he was attacked again by the hoodlums, who took him out of the health facility. He has not been seen since then.

The Effutu NDC constituency branch has consequently urged the Winneba Divisional Police Command to investigate the case and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
