Ghanaian actress and musician Efia Odo has dismissed persistent claims that her associations with musicians have a negative impact on their careers.

In an exclusive interview with Ghana Weekend on Tuesday, September 9, Efia Odo addressed growing speculation that her closeness to artistes like Kwesi Arthur and King Promise coincided with a slowdown in their careers.

Similar concerns have recently surfaced regarding her relationship with singer Mr. Drew.

However, Efia Odo firmly rejected the narrative, describing it as baseless and unfair.
“Was I not the same person promoting Kwesi Arthur’s songs all the time? I’ve also worked with Likee. Has Likee stopped what he’s doing? I’m close to Shatta Wale. Has he stopped doing music? I’ve supported so many people in the industry, from Darkovibes to Gyakie to Black Sherif,” she said.

According to Efia Odo, the criticisms are rooted in “negative projections” from individuals who hold misguided perceptions about her. She believes any setbacks artistes face are personal and unrelated to her involvement.
