The vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie says Sunday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Egypt was one of the best games of the Black Stars in recent times.

The Black Stars’ chances of qualifying to the 2018 World Cup were dealt a huge blow after their 2-0 defeat to the Pharaohs of Egypt in Alexandria on Sunday.

“I was very confident ahead of this game, considering the preparation and the way we approached the match. It was one of our best games in recent times, because the boys were focused and very determined,” Afriyie said after the match.

“Nonetheless, we have taken the defeat in good faith and I look forward to what is ahead of me,” he concluded.

Up next for Ghana, will be the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon from January 14 to Feburary 5.
