Veteran Egyptian Coach Hassan Shehata could be considered to take up the head Coach of the Black Stars, according to multiple reports in the media.

The renowned Coach is reported to be in line for the Black Stars job ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ghana Football Association are preparing to relieve Avram Grant off his post following the Israeli’s recent conduct after refusing to heed to their request to return to the country after Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Egypt.

Shehata, three-time Cup of Nations winning Coach with Egypt is reported to have been contacted by the Ghana football Association to take up the top job.

The former Zamalek Coach led Egypt to a three successive Cup of Nations titles after winning the 2006, 2008 and 2010 editions of the competition.

The 67-year-old is currently unattached after leaving Egypt Premier League side El Mokawloon.
