The Government of Ghana has declared Monday, 12 August 2019 as a public holiday.

This was disclosed in a statement issued and on signed by the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery today Thursday, 8 August 2019.

The statement said: “The general public is hereby reminded that Sunday 11 August 2019 which marks ‘Eid-ul-Adha’, has been declared a statutory Public Holiday.

“However, in view of the fact that 11 August 2019 falls on a Sunday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E.I), declared Monday, 12 August 2019 as an additional Public Holiday to be observed as such throughout the country.”
