A young and enthusiastic writer, %Elorm Hermann, on Saturday launched his first book, "unleashing the hero in you", for the express purpose of teaching and inspiring people on how to build on  their confidence to make it to the top.
The 167-Page book talks about the negative mindsets and low self esteem most African children, especially those born in the villages, suffer from due to tradition and culture.

It seeks to rewrite the wrongs born by the traditions  of  African society which has crippled and cluttered the mindset of the people to realise their inherent  strength.

It has Chapters on the "struggle of life", "is that what you want", "you are responsible", "free yourself", and "who you are".

Other chapters include "discover your purpose", "running to win" and "arise! take action".

The launch which was a combination of inspiration, transformation, networking and fun, saw people within and without Accra, gathered at the Teachers Hall Complex, Adabraka.

In his keynote address, Mr Jonathan Adzokpe, a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, who also doubles as the CEO of Hetura Books, the publishers of the book, encouraged the participants to take responsibility for their lives and stop blaming others for their misfortunes. He noted that things only began to change in his life when he stopped blaming others and started taking responsibility for his life.

The author of the book, Mr Elorm Hermann, a petrochemical engineer by training said in his speech:

"I have seen many people wallop in self-pity and defeat just because they are ignorant about who they truly are. I have seen great talented men and women live as if they are worthless. I've seen and heard of many successful men turning to drugs and even some, committing suicide. I've seen rich men became poor, and I've seen men and women with seemingly disadvantaged backgrounds, people who were counted out by the world rise above their limitations to become legends who are celebrated by the world.

I have seen men who have fallen several times and bounced back to their feet stronger than they were prior to their falls, and surprisingly,  I have also seen men who have fallen only once and have given up completely on life!"He continued,

"Why these? Why these disparities? Why are many men of affluence living a life with no influence. Why are people in careers they hate but find it very difficult to break free? Why is it that people only live the kind of lives they want to live only in their dreams. Why does everybody seem to have great visions but just few are actually pursuing theirs. Why do many allow their potentials to go rusty? Why should people who carry divinity within them live their entire lives as if they were victims instead of victors. Why do some demand from life while others take orders from it?

These were the questions that sentenced my clueless mind on a perpetual adventure into the world of prayer, meditation, imagination and research and in effect, kept my innocent eyes awake at night almost all the times. For months I've sought for answers,  and behold, the birth of this mind-boggling masterpiece, Unleashing The Hero In You."

He concluded that, "Unleashing The Hero In You, is not a book. It's a food we all need to eat for our survival in this thing called life. It's not an option, it's a necessity. It's the recipe to a more fulfilling life."

Ben-God foundation bought the first copy of the book at Ghc1000. Hafrican Prince, one of Ghana's finest spoken words artists, Ages Africa, an equally talented musician and spoken word artist and China fon, a comedian who is taking Ghana by surprise (he's actually the first living testimony of Unleashing The Hero In You. He chose to go into comedy after reading the initial copy of the Unleashing The Hero In you) were there to thrill the audience with their performances.

Hetura Books, iDesign, Skrilix Multimedia, RES       Group, special Norte Drinks, Maxi Fashions, King Agency and Maave Special Sobolo, partnered the event. The MC for the day was the award winning author, Sylvanus Bedzrah.
