It’s hard to tell if pieces of music today have much replay value. Music lovers are so quick to hop from one hot song/artist to the other. We no longer sit back and listen to the words of a popular song with an open mind and truly digest and let the music breath and take time to settle in.

Lately, song reviews are completed so quickly that the music is not truly heard. Music should not be reviewed right away or a week after release and we should appreciate all the work an artist put into their body of work.

Celebrated Ghanaian sports journalist, Kofi Asare Brako, popularly called Abatey, has launched massive support for actress cum singer, Emilia Brobbey after her latest song 'Fame Ko' received a lot of social media bashing.

In a Facebook reaction sighted by Ghanaguardian.com, Abatey, who is the spokesperson for the Youth and Sports Ministry said, Ghanaians should not be in a hasty attempt to fiercely criticise the good works of Emilia Brobbey as according to him, the words and composition of the song makes it one of the best highlife music ever heard in the country. He described her as a multi-talented personality whose talent has no boundaries.

"Emelia Brobbey’s talent doesn’t have boundaries. Don’t just follow the crowd, take time and listen to the song, the words, composition and u will understand why it is one of the best love songs u have ever heard. #FaMeKo #Highlife #Love! One finger in the air!", he wrote.

He, however, agreed with a few others who have opined that the song would have been a more hit if she (Emelia) had collaborated with legendary highlife musician, Charles K. Fosu, best known as Daddy Lumba

"I agree with you, Kusi Mensah Capito. Solid, just maybe a duet with Daddy Lumba wouldn't have been bad at all", said Abatey.

He advised Emilia not be discouraged saying only a few people can move from one industry to another and still be successful in their quest.

"Thumbs up, Emelia, don't mind what they say. How many people can move from one industry to another and still can be successful. From a teacher to an actress to a TV presenter to a musician? Keep it coming, girl. Don't be discouraged at all. Gotch ya back!", he added.
