Emmanuel Boateng joins Israel premier league side Hapoel Tel Aviv
2nd February 2026
Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng has completed a move to Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Tel Aviv, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract after leaving Turkish outfit Gaziantep FK.
Boateng joins the Tel Aviv-based club as a free agent and has been handed the number nine shirt, a sign of the expectations resting on his shoulders as Hapoel look to strengthen their attacking options.
The 27-year-old parted ways with Gaziantep after a difficult spell in Turkey and will now be hoping for a fresh start in Israel, where he is expected to bring pace, experience and directness to Hapoel’s frontline.
Boateng is no stranger to European football, having previously featured in Spain, China and Turkey, and his arrival adds valuable international experience to the Hapoel squad.
For Boateng, the move represents an opportunity to reset and rediscover his best form. With the second half of the season ahead, both player and club will be eager to see the Ghanaian hit the ground running in his new colours.
