Accra Lions midfielder Emmanuel Dzigbah has completed a move to Serbian top-flight club Cukaricki ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The versatile left-footed midfielder joins on an initial loan deal, with an option for Cukaricki to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Dzigbah's talent caught the eye of the Serbian club during Accra Lions' youth team tour to Europe for a U18 competition.

He particularly stood out in matches against Red Star Belgrade and Cukaricki, impressing with his dribbling skills and passing ability.

Goran Grkinic, Cukaricki's Technical Director, commented on the acquisition, stating, "We noticed this player when he and his club played a friendly match against our youth players, and then against Crvena zvezda.

In those matches, he made a serious difference, we reacted immediately and quickly reached an agreement with his club.

We had to wait for him to turn 18, and once that condition was met, he joined Cukaricki."

During his time with Accra Lions, Dzigbah made 27 league appearances, showcasing his capabilities, with one of his standout performances coming against local rivals Hearts of Oak.

The move to Cukaricki represents a significant step in Dzigbah's career, offering him the opportunity to continue his development in European football while contributing to his new team's ambitions in the Serbian top flight.
