Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has voiced strong confidence in the goalkeepers selected for the Black Galaxies as they prepare for their crucial CHAN 2024 qualifier against Nigeria.
Speaking with Nationalist TV, Antwi praised the performances of the goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League, stating, "Any of the goalkeepers can start seeing how they are performing in the Ghana Premier League. I think anyone who will be selected can make amend on that day."
The goalkeepers in contention for a spot in the final Black Galaxies squad include Appiah Kubi, Benjamin Asare, Frederick Asare, and Kofi Baah.
The team's preparation has been strong, with two back-to-back friendly victories this week: a 5-2 win over Great Olympics and a 2-1 triumph over Attram De Visser.
Head coach Mas Ud-Didi Dramani is looking to carry this positive momentum into the two-legged qualifier against Nigeria, which will begin in Ghana between December 20-22 and conclude in Nigeria between December 27-29.
The winner of the tie will secure a place in the CHAN 2024 tournament, set to take place next year in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
