Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi, has expressed strong confidence in the Black Galaxies as they prepare for their crucial 2024 CHAN qualifier against Nigeria.

Speaking in an interview with Nationalist TV, Antwi highlighted the potential of the current squad, stating, "It's been a while since the Black Galaxies qualified for the CHAN tournament.

I know this current squad will be different in the CHAN, and I believe they will qualify for the tournament."

As the team finalizes its preparations, Coach Mas Ud-Didi Dramani's side recently delivered solid performances in friendly matches, securing a 5-2 victory over Great Olympics and a narrow 2-1 win over Attram De Visser at the University of Ghana Stadium.

These games are part of their build-up for the upcoming 2024 CHAN qualifiers.

The first leg of the tie against Nigeria is scheduled to take place between December 20 and 22, 2024, in Ghana, with the return leg set for December 27-29, 2024, in Nigeria.

The winner of this two-legged qualifier will secure a spot in the CHAN 2024 tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.
