The European Union (EU) has promised to work at improving small businesses in Ghana to ease the burden on the government.

Head of the EU delegation to Ghana William Hanna told Starr Business they will be working closely with the small businesses to ensure their effectiveness.
He said: “We have focused on cooperation, agriculture, we have focused on governance, and focused on job creation”.
He said EU has a number of projects and initiatives which started and are producing results. “I think we will see more in these directions in the future of course, we can only provide some assistance.”
He added that there are different components being social protection and the Union is working with small businesses as well.
He said the Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund and DANIDA will be working closely with the small scale businesses to ensure the objective of improving them is realised.
