The New Patriotic Party's (NPP), Eugene Boakye Antwi has retained the Parliamentary seat for the Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region in Monday's General Election.

He won with a big victory over his nearest challenger the National Democratic Congress' Parliamentary candidate Abubakar Mohammed Murtala.

The incumbent Eguene Boakye Antwi polled 40,903 votes as the main contender, NDC's Abubakar Mohammed Murtala  also garnered 15,511 votes.

There was a big appreciation of the votes garnered by the President Nana Akufo-Addo in the constituency as he polled 43,051 in the presidential race as against ex-President Mahama who polled 14,608

All other presidential results are as follows GUM had 124, CPP 32, GFP 16, GCPP 4, APC 3, LGP 6, PNC 8, PPP 10, NDP 7 and the independent candidate had 6.
