Former footballer Ivan Klasnic has advised Daniel-Kofi Kyereh to follow his lead and, like him, switch from FC St. Pauli to Werder Bremen.

"He has to pay attention to which club he really has the opportunity to play in," said the 42-year-old of the "Bild" newspaper. "I think he would rather come to Werder than Freiburg and Gladbach. That's why I would advise him to move to Bremen.

Klasnic switched from FC St. Pauli to Bremen in 2001 and stayed until 2008. In 2004, the ex-striker won the championship and the DFB Cup with the club.

In addition to Bundesliga returnees Werder, SC Freiburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach are said to be interested in Kyereh. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder is being courted after his strong second division season at FC St. Pauli.

"He's a player who can decide a game. He also has good speed and can attract a game with it, said Klasnic about the Ghanaian international.

“It would be worth it for Werder. He's on the right track to becoming a good Bundesliga player."

Kyereh scored twelve goals and prepared ten goals for FC St. Pauli last season. His contract with FC St. Pauli runs for another year. The transfer fee should be more than three million euros.
