Former Asante Kotoko forward Dickson Afoakwa is at the center of a three-way transfer tussle following a standout campaign with lower-tier side Rainmasters FC.

The 27-year-old attacker, who previously had stints abroad and a brief spell at Kotoko, finished the 2024/25 season as Rainmasters' top scorer, netting 12 goals, providing 6 assists, and winning 5 MVP awards in 24 matches.

His performances have caught the attention of Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars, as well as Vision FC and newly promoted Hohoe United, all of whom are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Sources close to the player reveal that Gold Stars have already held advanced talks with Afoakwa, but a deal has yet to be finalized. Vision FC, on the other hand, are believed to be preparing a formal offer, while Hohoe United see him as a key addition to spearhead their maiden Premier League journey.

Afoakwa, who began his career with Kumasi Cornerstones, has also played in Belarus with Dynamo Minsk and Gomel, and in Slovenia with NK Triglav.

Despite an underwhelming stint at Kotoko, he is said to be eager for another opportunity to prove himself at the top level of Ghanaian football.
