UD Melilla midfielder Richard Boateng is set to sign for Spanish second-division side Real Oviedo in the coming days.

According to sources close to the former Liberty Professionals star, negotiations are far advanced with an agreement expected to be struck pending the final signature.

The Blues will announce the Ghanaian as their first signing of the summer, barring a dramatic late twist.

The 25 year old managed 35 appearances for Melilla in the Spanish third tier this campaign including 25 starts, scoring an impressive 14 goals in the process- one of which was voted the best of the season in Group IV of Segunda B.
