Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has formally requested to terminate his Anzhi Makhachkala contract, Ghanaguardian.com can exclusively report.

The midfielder is reported to be on his way out of the club following the financial difficulties faced by the Russian outfit.

Anzhi Makhachkala have been faced with financial constraints and are struggling to keep up with some of their key players.

The club owes some players in salaries due to the difficulties it is facing.

The CEO of the club, Absalutdin Agaragimov confirmed the repor;

“The situation in the club has not changed. We cannot sign football players, there are 2-3 players on the show, and if the situation changes, then we already know which players need to be signed. To date, the team joined the Juan Lescano and Andres Ponce. There is no Vladislav Kulik yet.

The team did not join Mohammed Rabiu. He wrote a letter of resignation from the club. He wants to terminate the agreement with "Anji" due to non-payment of salary. We will not hold it. The only thing - Rabiu at once wants the entire salary.

We will not be able to pay at once, only in parts from the money that will come to us from the  RPL. We also officially let go of the goalkeeper Vladimir Sugrobov with the Kaliningrad “Baltic” collection. So far, no news on sponsors, the same situation”

The 29 year old FIFA U-20 World Cup winner has played 11 times this season for Anzhi.
