The scramble for the Ghana Football Association presidential slot is gathering pace  with about five persons of the executive council signalling their intentions to compete for the vice presidential slot.

Members of the executive council were supposed to elect the vice president of the GFA from among its 12 members but the initial election date of Monday 28th October has been postponed to 7th November 2019.

It was believed that five persons are jostling for the job namely; Messrs George Amoako, Fred Acheampong,Dr Tony Aubyn and Randy Abbey.

A member of the Executive council Nana Oduro Sarfo says that he is not interested in the vice president role but outlines what is required of any candidate.

"I will not contest for the GFA vice president position ,morally, it's not right"

"We need a vice President who can add value to the Association "

"I have started looking at the CV's of all the ExCO Members vying for the position and I will come out with my preferred candidate by Monday "

" I have been lobbied by almost everybody but I'm not in a rush to decide because I want make the right decision "

"Randy Abbey,George Amoako,Dr.Toni Aubyn and Mark Addo are my top 4 contestants for the Vice President position" he told Happy Fm.

I will not contest for the GFA Vice President position.
