The family of the late Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, who was allegedly murdered by a close friend, has voiced deep frustration over the repeated adjournments in the ongoing court proceedings.

According to the grieving relatives, who travel from the Ashanti Region to Accra for each hearing, the frequent postponements are not only prolonging their emotional agony but also placing a financial strain on them.

The case, which was expected to progress this week, has once again been adjourned to October 22, as prosecutors await a forensic report before submitting the docket to the Attorney-General’s office for advice.

Outside the courtroom, the late officer’s sister, Emelia Obeng, revealed that she had taken a slipper belonging to the prime suspect, Bright Aweh, as part of what she described as a spiritual act to make him suffer for his alleged crime.

She added that during a previous hearing, the family had also managed to obtain a slipper belonging to the second accused, Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Dzaase.

Stephen King Amoah, aged 38, was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after he left home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate.

His charred remains were later discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya, triggering a manhunt and intensive police investigation that led to the arrest of the suspects.

The family says they remain hopeful for justice but insist that the continuous delays are eroding their faith in the system and deepening their grief.
