Fatau Dauda is upbeat about Ghana’s chances of winning the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Despite not been selected for the tournament, the 34-year old shot-stopper took to his twitter page to rally support for Kwesi Appiah’s men.

Ghana are seeking to end their 37-year wait for continental success, having won their last title in 1982.

The four-time winners have been drawn in Group F alongside defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau.

“I am optimistic that you will be coming home with the cup and with Allah on your side all shall be well”-he said.

In his conviction, the former Ashgold goalie also called on Ghanaian to rally behind the team to ensure they return with the trophy.

“I urge Ghanaians to rally behind the team in other to boost the morale of the players”- he added.
