Kumasi Asante Kotoko have quickly initiated talks with club captain and goalkeeper Felix Annan with his contract set to expire this month.
According to sources the goalkeeper who knows his worth is demanding pay parity with the team's highest earner who is the hapless Ugandan striker George Abege who is yet to convince why he was even acquired in the first place.
The Ugandan striker is reportedly on $1,200 a month salary with the Kumasi based club despite his woeful form and Felix being one of the club's best performers over the years wants it to reflect on his pay check.
It still remains a mystery each time the mere idea that such a prized asset like goalkeeper Felix Annan is free to speak to foreign clubs next month.
Apparently Asante Kotoko have failed to reach out to their goalie about a possible contract extension.
Felix Annan is undoubtedly the best shot stopper on the local scene with him being a part of the Black Stars set up.
One would think any team with such a priceless asset will jealously guard against them leaving but it appears Asante Kotoko have rather left the door ajar for any interested party to snap up their captain and no 1 goalkeeper.
For now the only thing that may keep the goalkeeper with the porcupine warriors will be this age old archaic talk of loyalty.
