Actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has strongly condemned a sexually offensive comment made about her five-year-old daughter on social media, describing the incident as deeply disturbing and unacceptable.

The comment, posted by an individual identified as “Ghatu” on X (formerly Twitter), appeared under a video Makafui shared featuring her daughter, Island.

The remark, which carried sexual undertones, sparked outrage and concern among fans and the wider public.

In a statement, Makafui said the comment crossed all moral and social boundaries, exposing her child to language and insinuations that no minor should ever be subjected to.

“The incident has caused me significant emotional distress and sleepless nights. No parent should be forced to witness their child being spoken about in such a harmful and inappropriate manner,” she said.

Although the individual involved has since issued an apology, Makafui stressed that the nature of the comment cannot be trivialised or wished away.
“An apology does not erase what was said or the harm it represents,” she noted.

Given the seriousness of the incident, the actress revealed that the matter has been formally reported and is now being handled by her legal team.

She made it clear that she will not engage in online back-and-forth over the issue.

According to her, the situation has moved beyond social media debate and is now fundamentally about protecting the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of her child.

Makafui’s response has reignited conversations around child protection, online safety, and the responsibility of social media users to exercise restraint—especially when minors are involved.
