World football governing body, FIFA have swatted Great Olympics’ latest attempt to further jeopardize the start of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season.

The new campaign which was scheduled to start three weeks ago was postponed indefinitely after Great Olympics served the GFA with a court injunction in a protest against Bechem United for fielding an unqualified player against them last season.

The Accra-based club again sort the intervention of FIFA who have in turn redirected the matter to the Ghana FA on the grounds that it is an internal matter under the remit of the nation’s Football governing body.

“After an analysis of the information provided, we have to inform you that it seems that we are not in a position to intervene in this matter, since it is an internal matter under the remit of the Ghana Football Association and governed by the applicable rules of said Federation. As such, we are forwarding your correspondence to the Ghana Football Association“

An Accra High Court is expected to rule on an injunction application brought against the FA by relegated Great Olympics on Thursday.
