Former Ghana Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic has been linked with the vacant Fiji national team coaching job.
But the President of the Fiji Football Association, Rajesh Patel has cleared the air that they will not be getting Former Ghana soccer coach, Goran Stevanovic to coach the Fiji Soccer Team.
According the FA capo they simply cannot afford the Serbian trainer as his demands are out of their league.
The Fiji Football Association has shortlisted the candidates for the position of the head coach which has been left vacant since the resignation of Christoph Gamel.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel says there were a lot of interested candidates locally and internationally.
He adds that two Serbian and French nationals with UEFA Pro license coaching accreditation also showed interest in the national coaching position.
Patel says the Fiji FA will soon reveal the national coach.
The Fiji FA has received over 30 applications for the position of Fiji Soccer Head Coach.
An appointment is expected before Christmas.
The Serbian trainer guided the Black Stars to the Quarter finals of the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa where Ghana lost on penalties after the Luis Suarez controversy.
