A fire outbreak at Accra High School on Sunday, August 17 has severely damaged the school's computer laboratory, destroying most of the electronic devices stored there.

While a few computers and tablets were salvaged, school officials say a full assessment is ongoing to determine the extent of the damage.

Mr. Aikens Kennedy Anarfi Kwapong, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of domestic affairs, said the school is currently verifying the number of devices recovered and identifying the resources required to restore ICT operations.

He added that the school is in communication with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and will follow its guidance on how and when to resume ICT lessons for students.
