Former Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Abalora has completed a permanent transfer to Albanian club AF Elbasani.
The 28-year-old has joined Elbasani on a free transfer following his departure from FC Petrocub Hincesti, where he achieved significant success.
During his time with Petrocub, Abalora played a key role in the club's historic Moldovan championship win, making 13 appearances and keeping six clean sheets while conceding seven goals.
His performances were instrumental in securing Petrocub’s first-ever league title.
Prior to his stint at Petrocub, Abalora was with FC Sheriff Tiraspol, where he won three trophies and made 24 appearances, recording 17 clean sheets.
His journey to Moldova began after a standout period with Asante Kotoko SC in the Ghana Premier League, following his move from Tanzanian side Azam FC, where he played from July 2019 to July 2020.
Abalora also boasts four international caps for Ghana, making his debut in October 2020 in a 5-1 victory over Qatar.
AF Elbasani, a newly-promoted club in the Kategoria Superiore, the top tier of Albanian football, will look to benefit from Abalora’s experience and skill as they compete in the new season.
