Former Kotoko striker Kwame Boateng has reportedly joined Karela United as a free agent penning a two year contract.

The striker parted ways with Medeama in May after the expiration of his contract although the club wanted to cut their loses on him.

Kwame Boateng a gifted striker with an eye for goal except his Great Olympics days has failed to live up to expectations and will hope his move to the Anyinase based side is the dawn of a new beginning for him.

He replaces forward Solomon Sarfo Taylor who has joined Swedish second tier side Vendyssel Fc.

The striker has in the past played for Great Olympics, Asante Kotoko and Medeama.
