Four critically injured in Adum gas explosion

At least four people are in critical condition following a gas explosion near the Sanbra Hotel at Adum in the Kumasi Metropolis.

The incident occurred around 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, as a food vendor and her assistants were preparing meals for the day.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud blast before rushing to the scene, where the victims were found severely injured.

All four were transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment.

The Ghana National Fire Service has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
