Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has lauded his team’s discipline and commitment as key factors behind their impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.
GoldStars currently sit atop the league standings, having suffered only one defeat this season. They recently secured a notable 1-0 victory over defending FA Cup champions FC Samartex in the Round of 64.
In an interview with Happy FM, Manso emphasized the team’s unity and adherence to his coaching philosophy.
“There’s no secret. It’s just our hard work, and the boys are also determined. Their zeal to achieve something makes them adhere to whatever I tell them, and they are very disciplined. I believe these are the things contributing to our success,” Manso said.
Despite their dominant league run, Manso has not set specific trophy targets. Instead, he is focused on maintaining performance in both the league and FA Cup.
“We’re trying to compete in both competitions and depth is very important because we can’t use the same players all the time. Otherwise, some players might feel there’s no trust in them.
“We’ve not set a target on which trophy to win; we just want to compete and focus on the next game,” he added.
GoldStars’ campaign has been marked by victories against top teams like Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, and Bechem United.
Their next challenge will be against Karela United in the league, where they aim to consolidate their lead at the top of the table.
With a mix of disciplined play and tactical depth, Bibiani GoldStars are proving to be strong contenders for domestic honors this season.
