British-Ghanaian music sensation Fuse ODG lit up the stage at the 2025 CAF Awards with a high-energy performance that had dignitaries, football legends, and fans on their feet at the Mohamed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.
The artist, born Richard Nana Abiona, delivered a vibrant set featuring his iconic Azonto hits and his latest anthem, Spirit of Sundiata, blending Afrobeat rhythms with pan-African pride. His performance was part of a star-studded musical lineup that included Congolese legend Awilo Longomba and rising Moroccan star Douaa Lahyaoui.
Fuse ODG’s presence marked a proud moment for Ghana, as he became only the second Ghanaian artist after Shatta Wale to perform at the prestigious CAF Awards.

While Ghana did not secure any awards on the night, the country was well represented on stage by Fuse ODG and former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, reinforcing Ghana’s cultural and sporting influence on the continental stage.
The night also saw Achraf Hakimi crowned African Player of the Year, following a treble-winning season with Paris Saint-Germain and a standout showing at the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
