Gbese Mantse and Adoten of the Ga state, Nii Ayi Bonte II, is under pressure to deliver his promise of stepping down if the National Democratic Congress(NDC) loses.

The Ga chief who has previously hailed the infrastructural achievements of President Mahama in the Greater Accra region as unprecedented made this pronouncement at a gathering to welcome the Chief of staff, Joe Debrah, who paid a courtesy call on the Chiefs and people of Gbese.

In a video obtained by Ghanaguardian.com, the Chief whose real name is Thomas Okine, says President Mahama's  achievements surpasses all past governments including Ghana’s first President Osegyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

The former CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak stated that, President Mahama, has fulfilled all promises made to them during campaign therefore he will garner massive support from Ga land towards President Mahama.

He added that President Mahama deserves a second term to continue his uncompleted projects one of which is the Salaga Market in Accra.

Ayi Bonte II sent a message to the President through the chief of staff to pleaded with him to consider more Ga people in his next administration since they are committed to the well being of the nation.

In furtherance, he stated emphatically that, if the NDC does not win power at the December 7 polls, he will step down as Gbese Mantse.

Pressure has started mounting on him by his opponent to step them as Gbese Mantse in order to fulfill the promise he made to the people at the gathering.
