The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is reported to be safe and in stable condition after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Thursday in the Oti Region.
According to information from palace sources, the accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. as the traditional ruler was returning to Accra from Tamale, where he had undertaken a private visit to the Yaa Naa in the Northern Region.
The visit was part of ongoing engagements among traditional authorities aimed at promoting unity, reconciliation, and mutual respect between major traditional areas in Ghana.

Although the Ga Mantse escaped the incident without injury and is said to be in good spirits, his driver sustained critical injuries during the crash.
The driver was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear, and no official statement has yet been issued by the palace or the police.

However, close aides have confirmed that the King’s condition is stable and that he is being closely monitored following the incident.
The news has prompted an outpouring of concern and well-wishes from traditional leaders and members of the Ga State, with many expressing relief over the monarch’s safety and praying for the speedy recovery of his injured driver.
