The Deputy Minister of Communications who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon constituency,Vincent Sowah Odotei hass filed his nominations to contest for a slot on the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Per the new statutes adopted by congress earlier this month, Premier League clubs are due 5 slots on the 12 member Executive Committee which Vincent Sowah Odotei wants to grab one of the five available slot.

The former CEO of Hearts of Oak would have a big fight on his hands as he would have to fight of competition from the CEO of Ashgold Frederick Acheampong,Kotoko General Manager George Amoako, Medeama board chairman Dr. Tony Aubyn, Randy Abbey.

The erstwhile Executive Committee had a 23 member composition but was slashed down to 12 at the extra ordinary congress held at the auditorium of the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Vincent Sowah Odotei is not new to these elections as he has in the past contested for the GFA presidency losing woefully to former president Kwasi Nyantakyi.

The Ghana FA Executive Council elections will be held on 24 October 2019.
