Ghana Football Association president Kurt E.S Okraku has urged Kumasi Asante Kotoko to go and deliver in Ivory Coast by beating San Pedro Fc for a slot in the group stage of the Caf Confederations Cup.

The porcupine warriors in the first leg only managed a slender lead through a Naby Keita penalty which was scored very late in the game.

Kotoko who are in Abidjan will on Sunday 3 November take on San Pedro Fc at the Stade Houphet Boigny for a place in the confederations cup group stage.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, the GFA President urged the Porcupine Warriors to go all out and lift high the flag of Ghana.

“The Ghana Football Association and the entire football fraternity are solidly behind you as the only Ghanaian club flying high the flag of Ghana on the continent.”

“As you emplane for Abidjan to engage A.S. San Pedro Football Club in the return leg fixture of the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup play off match, the President and the entire Executive Council send their best wishes to the team,” the letter stated.“We wish you good luck as you journey to the battlefield. We are without a doubt that you will qualify and move to the next stage of the competition.”

Kotoko who touched down in Abidjan on Friday around 14hours GMT have been treated well so far and are currently lodging at the Hotel Ibis Plateau.

The reds will have to avoid defeat or at least get a drawn game to progress to the group stages of the Confederations cup.
