The Ghana Football Association is reportedly in advanced discussions with Herve Renard over the vacant head coach position of the Ghana national football team.
Negotiations between the two parties are said to be ongoing, with key details such as contract duration, backroom staff composition and other conditions yet to be finalised.
The search for a new coach follows the dismissal of Otto Addo after a disappointing run of results, including defeats to Austria and Germany during the March international window.
Renard, one of the most respected coaches on the African continent, is widely known for his success at international level, having led teams to major continental triumphs and built a reputation for strong leadership and tactical discipline.
The GFA is understood to be keen on appointing a high-profile coach capable of guiding Ghana through the 2026 World Cup, with the Black Stars aiming to restore their standing on the global stage.
While no agreement has yet been reached, talks with Renard signal the FA’s intent to secure an experienced and proven manager as preparations intensify for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
