Ghana secured a resounding 5-0 win against Rwanda at the Accra Sports Stadium, completing a double victory to advance to the second round of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with an impressive 12-0 aggregate score.

After a dominant 7-0 win in Kigali on Friday, Ghana had a straightforward task in front of their home fans to progress to the next stage of the qualifiers.

Alice Kusi's hat-trick in the 22nd, 26th, and 37th minutes put the Black Queens in a commanding position, and Evelyn Badu increased the lead with the fourth goal in the 42nd minute.

While Rwanda showed resilience in the second half, their efforts bore no fruit as Ghana's defense remained composed, thwarting any potential threats from the visitors.

Stella Nyamekye added a fifth goal in injury time, sealing a comprehensive victory for Nora Hauptle's squad.

With this result, Ghana advances to the second round of qualifiers with a convincing 12-0 aggregate scoreline and is now poised to face Namibia in the final round of qualifiers scheduled for November this year.

The winner of the match between Ghana and Namibia will secure a spot in the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
