Ghana international Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer will remain at German outfit Hamburger SV for the 2025-2026 season after a proposed move to French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice fell through at the final stage.
The Black Stars forward had agreed on personal terms with the French outfit, with both clubs finalising a €6 million transfer in the ongoing summer window.
However, according to reports by RMC Sport, the deal collapsed following an unspecified issue detected during the player's initial medical examination. A subsequent test confirmed the concern, leading Nice to withdraw from the deal.
Despite the setback, Konigsdorffer is reportedly content to stay at Hamburger SV, where he was one of the club’s standout performers last season. He is now focused on helping the German side push for Bundesliga promotion in the new campaign.
The 23 year old featured in 32 games for Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga 2 last season, scored 14 goals and provided two assists. He is capped six times for the Black Stars of Ghana as he made his official debut in 2022, having featured for Germany's U20 and U20 side prior.
