The Government of Ghana has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) to advance the country’s 24-Hour Economy initiative and Accelerated Export Development Programme.

The agreement, signed at the Bank of Ghana, will unlock financing and technical support to modernise critical sectors, expand exports, and create jobs, particularly targeting young people and women.

Presidential Advisor on the 24H+ Programme, Goosie Tanoh, highlighted the deal’s potential to directly benefit entrepreneurs, farmers, and innovators eager to expand production and build sustainable livelihoods.

BADEA President, Abdullah Almusaibeeh, expressed strong confidence in Ghana’s vision for inclusive growth, while the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Matilda Asante-Asiedu, assured that the central bank remains committed to ensuring macroeconomic stability to sustain the initiative.

Officials say the partnership will channel critical investment into Ghana’s drive to build a resilient, round-the-clock economy, positioning the country as a competitive hub for production and trade.
